O Cortelliño Viewpoint

The O Cortelliño Viewpoint is located in the Sierra da Groba, in Belesar (Baiona), an area shared by the municipalities of Baiona, Oia, and A Guarda. To access this spot, you simply need to take the road that ascends to the summit of A Groba from Baiona, known as the EP-2202 road.

Getting to the viewpoint is very easy, as it is situated next to the main road and has a spacious parking area where you can safely leave your car.

From O Cortelliño, on clear days, you can enjoy impressive panoramic views that cover much of the Val Miñor, including Baiona, Nigrán, and Gondomar, as well as the majestic Ría de Vigo, the Cíes Islands, Vigo, and much more.

Before heading up to the viewpoint, it is advisable to check that there is no fog or low clouds, as upon arrival, visibility might be limited.

Additionally, the Sierra de A Groba is home to a notable population of Galician wild horses (Garranos), so it is quite common to see them very close to the road or even at the viewpoint itself, along with other animals like cows and sheep.
