The "Entre dos mundos" monument in Baiona is an impressive commemorative work that celebrates the encounter of the New World. It was erected on the occasion of the 5th Centenary of the Discovery and is located on the walls of the Condestable's half-moon, at the foot of the walled enclosure of Monterreal, near the site where the first Native American buried in Europe was laid to rest.

This monument stands out for its imposing size compared to other monuments in the town. It was designed and created by the talented sculptor Magin Picallo, with dimensions of 9 meters wide and 4.5 meters high. The sculpture is made of granite and features various groups of figures representing Galicia, America, emigration, and return. These figures are arranged around a large sphere symbolizing the world. Inside the sphere, there is soil deposited by the ambassadors of twenty-two Ibero-American countries during the inauguration ceremony, which was presided over by Prince Felipe VI.

From this point, one can appreciate some of Baiona's most emblematic places. On one side, there is A Concheira beach and, in the distance, the vast open sea where the Virgen de la Roca watches over sailors. On the other side, there is the historic center, passing through the replica of the Caravel Pinta, and completing the circle with the majestic Monterreal fortress and the charming Monte Boi promenade.
