Faro de Punta Lameda en Nigrán

The Punta Lameda Lighthouse is located on the Monteferro peninsula, perched on a rocky outcrop surrounded by impressive cliffs.

Access to this lighthouse is quite simple, as a wide dirt road leads directly to it. If we choose to arrive by car through the Rúa de Monteferro, we can park it next to the road, just before the steep straight road that leads to the Monteferro viewpoint. In this area, we identify a wide track that turns off to the right, marking the beginning of our route. After walking a few hundred meters, we will come to a crossroads. To reach the lighthouse, we must take the path to the right, properly signposted. The central path would take us to the Monteferro cannon battery, while the one on the left leads to the Mirador and the Monument of the Universal Navy. From this point, the orientation is clear.

When arriving at the lighthouse, we can appreciate several enigmatic petroglyphs that were the work of the eccentric stonecutter nicknamed Domingo "El Duque" in the 18th century.

From this enclave, you can enjoy a privileged view of the Cíes Islands, becoming also a magnificent place to witness the magical sunset characteristic of the area.
