Silleiro Glass Beach

Playa de los cristales de Silleiro

Glass Beach in Baiona is named so because much of its ground is composed of glass pieces, which originate from an old dump that was located in this area. The effect of the sea on the numerous glass pieces there has given this beach its unique appearance.

It is situated at the foot of the old Silleiro Lighthouse, and from there, you can admire the vast Atlantic Ocean. On sunny days and when the tide is out, the reflection of the sun on the still-wet glass pieces makes the effect of the glass on this beach even more noticeable.

Important: Do not take the glass pieces from the beach.

Motorhome Parking at the Beach

Behind the beach, there is an area for motorhome parking, although it is not exclusively designated for such vehicles. Current regulations do not allow the setting up of awnings or furniture. Additionally, along the road leading to Baiona, there are two other areas where parking is also permitted, subject to the same restrictions. These parking spots offer stunning sea views, making the parking experience more enjoyable.

Pets on the Beach

Pets are welcome on Baiona beaches all year round. During the summer months of June, July, and August, dogs can continue to enjoy the sands, but only from 10:00 PM to 9:00 AM. Both in winter and summer, owners must keep their pets on a leash, as in other public spaces in the municipality. It is worth noting that, specifically for this beach, there are no specific restrictions regarding pets.
