The Portuguese Coastal Way passes through Baiona for 9 kilometres through the municipality, passing through several of its rural parishes and the old part of the town, with centuries of history.
Hundreds of years ago, pilgrims from overseas arrived in battered sailing ships to the raging Portuguese coast and from there continued on foot to Compostela, thus creating what is now known as the Portuguese Coastal Way.
The Way of St. James enters the municipality of Baiona from Oia and passes through Cape Silleiro where we can enjoy beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean, here it enters more sheltered areas to continue the route through the interior of the municipality.
